Flash Mob 2016

3rd Annual Palm Beach County Victim Services/SART  Flash Mob

Friday, April 1, 2016 at 6:00 pm, the community met at City Place to dance and promote sexual assault awareness. They danced to Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” performed by 12 year old singer, Jillian Flaherty. ASL interpretation was provided by Signs of Excellence’s Jessica Reiling.

After the dance, Palm Beach County Victim Services’ Director Nicole Bishop and Assistant State Attorney and SVU Division Chief Jessica Kahn spoke about the power of believing. As a community, we need to support the idea that when someone discloses being a victim of a crime, we owe it to the person to believe them. The Palm Beach County Commissioner’s Office recently declared Start By Believing Day.

Palm Beach County has stated that they will join the EVAWI Start By Believing campaign.
